Why?

Because most non-alc wine-makers choose to use "vacuum distillation" to remove the alcohol—a cheap & fast process that cooks your wine to quickly evaporate the alcohol in a couple of hours. This "cooking" alters the composition of your wine, causing a loss of flavor, aroma & complexity along the way. 

ONES uses reverse osmosis—a gentle process that can take days, but doesn't change the composition of the wine like cooking it does, allowing it to retain the authentic flavors & complexities of wine.

Made With Real, Fermented Grapes—Not Vinegar

Unlike some non-alcoholic wines that use vinegar as a base—ONES uses only grapes & puts them through the fermentation process. Fermentation is the only way to unlock many of the classic flavors of wine.

To avoid losing character like zero-alcohol wines, ONES wines keep a small amount of the alcohol content. 

Why? 

Because stripping wines of 100% of their alcohol content also strips 100% of their wine-like character.

What does ONES non-alc wine taste like?

ONES wines are one of the few non-alcoholic wines that are dry & complex. Most other non-alc wines use artificial ingredients & sugar which leads to sweet wine. The ONES approach to non-alc wine allows for a truer wine flavor. These are light, dry & complex wines customers consistently say "are the closest in flavor to alcoholic wine they've tried."

How many calories are in each serving?

Because each wine is made without any sugar and only have 0.5% alcohol these are very low in calories. Only 18-20 calories per serving.

Is there alcohol in your wine?

There is a trace amount of alcohol—just 0.5% which allows for these wines to retain more of the character & offer more complex flavors than other non-alcs.

Why do you keep some of the alcohol?

Removing 100% of the alcohol noticeably affects the mouth-feel & texture. With trace amounts of alcohol (0.5%) we’re able to bring you much more flavour, character & mouth-presence than other non-alcoholic wines.

Is this grape juice?

Definitely not. Grape juice doesn’t go through a fermentation process. ONES wines are fully fermented which is what gives wine its textures, flavours, aromas and mouth-feel. Only then do we remove the alcohol from the finished wine.

What are pocket desert grapes?

Pocket desert grapes have the exact right conditions to create unique flavorful wines. Long, hot summers with dry, arid conditions give these grapes plenty of time in the sunshine leading to more ripeness and flavour development. The cool, fall nights impart balance to the wines, preserving their natural acidity—which you can taste in our wines.

Both Chris & Tyler grew up on family farms that set them on their winemaking journeys. This first hand experience working with the land gave them both an understanding of how the quality of the final product depends on what goes into it. With this in mind, they joined forces to create the non-alcoholic wine that non-drinkers & the sober curious would love.

Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon was picked ripe. The nose is a basket of variety: black currant, spices, and sweets. The palate is subtle, with medium acid and soft tannins. Squish a little raspberry in your mouth and you'll get an idea of the mouthfeel. On the finish, the fruit notes carry through, giving brightness to a grape that is typically heavier in profile.

Cabernet Franc

This Cabernet Franc is a special non-alc wine artfully blended with grapes from two distinctive, premier grape-growing regions. These regions were specifically chosen by your ONES winemakers to impart each area's unique characteristics into every glass. 

From the Niagara region, you'll enjoy the fruit-forward flavours its grapes provide while the increased ripeness of the Okanagan grapes blend together to create a flavourful & balanced Cab Franc.

Cabernet Merlot

This classic blend features complexity & balance thanks to the medley of premium pocket desert grapes. You’ll find the aroma of plums, berries, and peppercorn in the glass with a palate that is subtle with medium acid & moderate tannins. The finish is lengthy with dark fruits dominant. Delicious!

Still Rosé

This still rosé opens with inviting aromas of juicy strawberry and sweet melon of grapes grown under the intense sunshine of pocket desert vineyards.
